Rafael Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum
Three thousand years of ancient history is presented here in the biggest private collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian art (45,000 pieces.) The collection is attractively displayed in a majestic colonial mansion from the 18th century, built upon a pre-Columbian pyramid dating back to the 7th century. Among the most unique exhibits are a magnificent vault with gold jewelry and a gallery of erotic art.
